1.Applicable scope
1.1 Applicable scope in this document
a)Flexible rubber-sheathed cables for mining purposes;
b)Insulated cables(wires) for railway vehicles of rated voltages up to and including 3 KV;
c)Rubber insulated cables(wires) of rated voltages up to and including 450/750V;
d)Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables(wires) of rated voltages up to and including 450/750V.
1.2 Applicable scope not in this document
This document does not apply to cord sets,nor to bare wires, power cables,insulating overhead cables,communication cables,optical cables and winding wires.

Note 1:When the application unit contains at least 2 sub-units,one sample respectively with maximum and/or minimum cross-section is required (maximum and minimum cross-section in total unit),and one sample with cross-section of any size may be randomly chosen for samples of maximum and minimum cross-section required in other sub-units;one sample respectively with maximum and/or minimum number of cores is required (maximum and/or minimum number of cores in total unit),and one sample with any core number may be randomly chosen for samples of maximum and minimum cross-section required in other sub-units;one sample respectively with round and flat shape is required and one sample with round or flat shape in other sub-units may be chosen for samples required in other sub-units.
Note 2:In case that all colors for any type in GB(GB/T)5023 shall be represented,one sample respectively with white and black color of the out-layers for this product type shall be required.In case of applying for certain colors only,the samples with such color shall be available.                       
Note 3:'Approaching Max.','approaching Min.','approaching most','approaching least' means one class difference in comparison with standard specification.
